Last week, De Urbanisten were invited by Vogelbescherming Nederland to talk with their urban bird advisors and by ''International Conference "PISA 2050 to present our design approach with water and how we are creating livable cities for the changing climate of the future.

After concluding the research on Subsidence and Heritage for the municipality of Gouda, De Urbanisten recently led a workshop testing the Toolbox for Subsidence with the city of Dordrecht.

We won the design competition ‘Biobased and nature inclusive building’ in Oirschot!
This competition in Oirschot is the first within the program 'A new construction culture', and is initiated by College van Rijksbouwmeesters to stimulate biobased and nature-inclusive construction. The teams were asked to provide an urban and landscape vision for De Kemmer in Oirschot. Our urban plan includes an realistic and innovative combination of biobased and nature-inclusive housing for a healthy living environment in the sub-area.

Last Tuesday Municipality of Rotterdam welcomed its citizens in the hall of Rotterdam Library to see the models of the seven new city projects, which are now part of the exhibition called 'Rotterdam is going green'. It was great to see everyone converse openly and enthusiastically about the new green Hofbogenpark plan.

The four-part documentary series Visionen Bauen follows designers around the world, who are seeking solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time. The third episode, set in Rotterdam, focuses on the De Urbanisten and our approach to re-imagine the city as a nature-inclusive and climate adaptive space.
