DE URBANISTEN invited to contribute to the BIG GREEN manifesto

On 4 March 2019, Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb of Rotterdam received the publication containing the results of the Letters to the Mayor project. The publication includes five short manifestos on Rotterdam’s most pressing issues. De Urbanisten are co-authors of the manifesto ‘BIG GREEN – Rotterdam’s new grand icon’.

Letters to the Mayor – Rotterdam is an initiative that was originally founded in 2014 in New York by Storefront for Art and Architecture. Spatial designers were invited by Het Nieuwe Instituut to write a letter to mayor Aboutaleb of Rotterdam, in which they contribute their ideas and concerns to the political agenda of the city.
