Construction of the new western part of the Ring in Antwerp in full swing

Together with OMGEVING and Ney, De Urbanisten has made a proposal for a regional landscape park on the left bank of the city of Antwerp. One of the elements of the design is the integration of the highway, in which the design team proposes to create generous green noise barriers that connect to existing park areas. The park will be pulled over the highway at strategic locations, where the most important ecological and recreational relations can be made.

Last week we visited the construction site, where the berm landscape is getting shape and the base of the ecoduct between the Vlietbos and the Middenvijver has been put in place. More info about the project can be found here.
